KALAMAZOO-- It may be the most expensive primary battle in the state, outside of the Governor’s race. The filing deadline for campaign contribution disclosures just past. It revealed that the top two spenders in State Senate races are both in the 20th district.
Lorence Wenke reports taking in 192-thousand dollars during the first half of the year. Tonya Shuitmaker took in 126-thousand, the second highest amount among state senate candidates.
Larry Deshazor is the third candidate in that race.
