CASS COUNTY -- Charges may be filed following a fatal crash south of Three Rivers that killed a 4-year-old boy over the weekend. Pre-schooler Dominick Cannon died when a car his family was riding in struck a tree along Lutz Road Sunday afternoon. 5-year-old stepbrother Jayden Everett remains in critical condition after he was airlifted to Bronson’s pediatric trauma care unit. 28-year-old Gary Cannon and his wife Ricki were also hospitalized.
Police say the car crossed the centerline, went off the wrong side of the road and hit a tree. Their initial press release said drugs and alcohol may be a factor, but no charges have been filed so far.
