Documentaries about Cream drummer Ginger Baker and reggae pioneer Bob Marley are among the many movies scheduled to be screened next month at the 2012 South by Southwest film festival in Austin, Texas.  The fest, which runs from March 9 to March 17, will feature the world premiere of Beware of Mr. Baker , an in-depth look at the volatile, self-destructive 73-year-old stick man.

The movie profiles Baker's years as a rock star in Cream and the supergroup Blind Faith , his exploration of African music and his current life in South Africa -- where he resides with a young wife and dozens of polo ponies.  The flick features interviews with a variety of his collaborators and musical associates, including Eric Clapton , Steve Winwood and Carlos Santana .

Making its North American debut at SXSW, meanwhile, will be Marley -- described as "the definitive life story of Bob Marley."  The movie, which was sanctioned by the Marley family, will offer rare clips of the Jamaican singer/songwriter, concert footage and conversations with some of the reggae legend's closest confidants.

Premiere dates for both films have not been announced yet.
