KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Herman Cain visited Michigan Thursday joining up with former U.S. Rep. Pete Hoekstra on the “Patriots for Pete” tour for Hoekstra’s U.S. Senate campaign. The tour made four stops throughout the state including a stop at the Kalamazoo Radisson Plaza Hotel. WKZO provided a live stream viewable here.
The tour’s intention seemed to be bringing voters closer to the economic issues facing Michigan and the nation. Rep. Hoekstra recently pledged to see Cain’s 9-9-9 plan adopted as the standard for tax law.
Off the topic of 9-9-9, Cain had some choice remarks for the controversy surrounding Hoekstra’s recent Super Bowl ad portraying a young Asian women riding through rice fields and speaking broken English.
The former presidential hopeful told Michigan crowds he “loved” the ad saying the “liberal media” had to try to label the ad as racist because factually it was true. In fact, Cain said he has offered his chief of media, who Cain has dubbed the most dangerous man in Hollywood, to the Hoekstra campaign to try and top the Super Bowl ad.
Watch above for an interview with Cain regarding the Hoekstra ad.
